Admission conditions 2;
NJIT evaluates the highest scores obtained in SAT or ACT using a combination of "math + critical reading". The expected average SAT score is 1190. Students below 1100 points are recommended to re-join the test to increase their scores.

International students who are not native English speakers must prove their language proficiency by taking TOEFL score, at least 79 in the internet-based test, at least 213 in the computer-based test, at least 550 in the paper-based test or at least 6.0 in the IELTS.

Scholarships and Financing;
- NJIT facilitates the granting of credits and scholarships to reduce the financial burden of international students. Loans are offered through credit institutions such as private institutions and banks. International students with valid US citizenship or permanent residence permit can apply.
-The International Presidency Scholarship is a scholarship that does not include any extra fees. Students are required to apply for this scholarship.
-Albert Dorman Honors College Scholarship is only for students admitted to Albert Dorman Honors College. In this case, additional financial assistance is eligible for students at NJIT.
