Main Campus Application Requirements

In addition to your application, we will need the following items for admission consideration:

ACT/SAT
High school students need to take the American College Test (ACT) and/or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and request that scores be sent to Trine University. Our code numbers are 1250 for the ACT and 1811 for the SAT. NOTE: the writing section of the ACT and SAT are optional.

Sending your scores each time you take the SAT/ACT can benefit you by allowing Trine to consider you for all available merit scholarships and enrollment opportunities. You may send in your College Board Score Report for FREE to your counselor at any time.

Request your high school to send a copy of your current transcript to

Upon graduation from high school, send your official final high school transcript that includes graduation date to admissions. You will also want to submit transcripts for dual credit or other college courses to be reviewed for credit. An applicant for freshman standing who achieves a score of 3, 4, or 5 on the College Entrance Examination Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Examination may be granted credit. Acceptance

All applicants from the United States are accepted on a rolling basis. We"ll notify you within two weeks after your application, high school records (and college transcripts, if you are a transfer student), and test scores are received.

The Bachelor of Arts with a major in communication program at Trine University prepares students to solve 21st century problems. The major offers a comprehensive communication core that addresses the foundational skills necessary to work in a wide variety of areas including:
